During a visit to my nearest Home Depot in Lawrenceville, I had an unexpected encounter with a potential client. While I was inside the store, the client noticed my contact number displayed on my van, highlighting the importance of having signage on work vehicles. It's remarkable how stopping at a store can lead to new business opportunities. The client reached out to me, and we swiftly arranged an in-home consultation.
Upon entering the client's residence, I immediately noticed their outdated and two-toned engineered hardwood flooring. It was evident that the floors were in dire need of a makeover. The client and his wife were delightful individuals, and we found common ground as we discovered that their son and I attended the same high school in the area. We agreed that the best course of action would be to remove the old engineered hardwood and replace it with stunning solid red oak flooring throughout the entire main floor. To ensure their complete satisfaction, I provided the couple with various stain and finish samples. Ultimately, they decided on a natural finish that would illuminate their home when sunlight poured in through the expansive windows. Additionally, we carefully sanded down the existing red oak stair treads to perfectly complement the new flooring. As a final touch, we applied Bona Traffic HD in a Semi-Gloss sheen to complete the project. I have no doubt that the clients will cherish their brand-new oak floors for many years to come. Our encounter at the Home Depot turned out to be a fortuitous event that resulted in a successful and satisfying renovation for this lovely couple. |
